Discovering the Clown

I’ve been very interested in clowning recently. Taking a couple clowning classes has lit something inside of me. Clowning is like improv where you need to be present for your audience. However, when clowning you can’t really rely on your spoken word … you have to physically embody your beliefs. Clowning is something I want to try because it forces a level of authenticity. You need to be vulnerable for your audience to relate!

I don’t particularly like rock music but I’ll pretty much read anything Chuck Klosterman writes, including football. He manages to express something that I find both amusing and deeply contemplative.

Butch Geography

I normally don’t really like poetry books, but this was pretty good. I related to the parts where she talked about being mistaken for a man. The desire to express masculinity is HOT.

Fun poppy read. I loved how this book approached butches. Ummmm yeah >.<. Overall nothing really happens in the book, but I think that’s ok.
