I enjoyed this one a lot more than the 2024 7572. The 7572 just isn’t aged enough and bothered my throat whereas this one is super smooth.

The flavor is something that people who aren’t familiar with it might not enjoy. The tea is dark malty and leathery. It’s not something I enjoyed at first, but now it’s my favorite flavor profile.

Also, I drank this tea yesterday with just tap water and the difference between tap and spring water is like night and day. I’m really enjoying this with the spring water.

The other thing about the waffle tea cake is that you can break it apart with your hands because its pressed thin into like a waffle structure which is kind of nice.

I think white2tea is ok. But, in the future I want to explore properly aged factory teas like the 7572. I’ve been perusing quiche teas which drop ships teas from TaoBao which is pretty cool.

The 2005 Xiaguan Xiaofa Ripe looks super cool. TeaDB did an episode on Xiaguan Xiaofa and it’s something I definitely want to try in the future. But, I also have a ton of tea to work through so I don’t think I’ll be buying more tea for a while.
